At University Prep Genius, we pride ourselves on supporting students to write their best authentic essays.

Is your son or daughter unsure about their college essays? Are they struggling to finish them? Or have they completed drafts that should be reviewed before they press the submit button?

In today's competitive environment, it is essential to have college essays that stand out. At University Prep Genius, we pride ourselves on supporting students to write their best authentic essays.

We inspire and guide students through the writing process of crafting compelling essays. Since 2017, we have worked with students accepted into the University of Pennsylvania, Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, Brown, University of Michigan, University of Virginia, University of Florida, Tulane, Georgia Tech, Boston College, Pepperdine, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Florida State, The University of Miami, Penn State, UCF, Wake Forest, USF, Baylor, Texas A&M, and many more. We understand that writing is a reflective process that requires reviving memories, critical thinking, and finding effective language and narrative approaches to convey the truth and power of the story.
When writing the main college application essay, we encourage students to follow the prompts closely. They should focus on a meaningful experience, such as a move from one home to another, a relationship that developed them, a struggle imposed upon them, a dream that has guided them, or another prescribed topic. This transformative experience communicates who they are on a personal level to the admissions officers. It adds the social dimension to their profile that GPA and test scores cannot reveal. In "close call" decisions, the quality of the essay can tip the balance.

It usually takes a few drafts for students to get their essays right. When they do, they know it and feel a sense of accomplishment. One student captured how students generally feel: "This essay is so meaningful! I am going to keep it forever."  As they reflect, they realize they have become better writers and are more prepared for college. As a parent, you can be at peace, knowing your son or daughter gave their essays the attention they deserved.
